Games Britannia event is ‘Simply Amazing’

The Games Britannia festival finished today as was an all round success. The event was described as ‘Simply Amazing’ by The Education and Technology Conference 2011. It is estimated that over 450 pupils took part in the event, with approximately 50 visiting from surrounding schools in Sheffield, Rotherham and Doncaster.

The Retro Zone was exceptionally popular, with a range of computers and consoles from 1977 to 2001. TheRetro Zone gave students a perspective on the development and evolution of hardware, but also demonstrated to them the power of game-play over graphics with many enjoying a lot of the older titles on display.
