Educational Video Game Festival GAMES BRITANNIA launched at Sheffield Hallam University

The UK’s biggest ever festival for videogame education has been announced by Andy Payne OBE (chairman of UK Interactive Entertainment) at an industry launch event at Sheffield Hallam University.

The launch of Games Britannia has been reported in several media outlets, including The Independent, The Guardian and the Yorkshire Post as well as BBC TV. The full press release is available on the SHU website.

The Festival comprises a 5-day event for students of local schools and colleges, followed by a 2-day event for the general public – Games Britannia: REPLAYED – over the weekend of 7/8 July 2012.

Games Britannia is being organised by Rotherham Borough Council, Sheffield Hallam University, Brinsworth Comprehensive, UKIE and Replay Events Ltd.
